We went to Pedens for lunch and had a great time. Service was friendly and our food came out very quickly and was great.

Friendly staff. The food looks great but was very dissapointing. For $70 for two mains and two starters I expected more. Left 80% of the food on my plate and the 20% I ate was out of hunger not enjoyment. Feels like a threw money away.
Not too bad. The sound level in the room was comfortable despite the extremely loud (and great) band downstairs. There was a biscuit that had been stepped on, on the carpet that the cleaner had missed. And on the shelf was a towel that was heavily stained that that cleaner had also missed. The drawer was full of random remnants of previous occupants. The bed was comfy but the lighting was so dim that we had to use our phone lights to find our things before leaving. Some bloke had projectile vomited in the bathroom just before midnight and upon inspection, I couldn't believe the spread of the splatter of what looked like chocolate and guacamole, but mainly that it was still there by 10 in the morning for guests to marvel at. I'm guessing that this kind of establishment frequently experiences people emptying their gastric contents and this should have been cleaned earlier. On the whole, I'm a seasoned backpacker and am ok with poor standards, and was with my fabulous husband and would've enjoyed being just about anywhere with him. But just commenting so others might be aware.
